The Instant Appeal

It seems that it takes 3 times before someone decides “hey! I actually like your band.”

This is based on anecdotal evidence of about 3 people.

I like to equate this to relationships with the analogy being that people don’t lust after us straight away but build up affection for us over time, which (should) lead to a longer and more fruitful relationship.

Which is all well and good in the long-term but this relies mainly on people accidentally seeing us support bands they actually want to see 3 times.

Aside from that, it’s pretty funny that we were criticised in a review last year for being “so 2008” yet nearly all of the bands we’ve been likened to are from the 90s. Even funnier is that we’ve been called “quintessentially English” yet at least half of those 90s bands we’ve been likened to are not English.

I think of us as “English appropriation of Scottish rock music”.
