The Confusion

I just read that Enya released a new single this week and, in the description, there was no mention of her being dead.

“How odd”, I thought.

I looked her up on Wikipedia and saw there was no mention of her being dead.

I then realised that I was thinking of Eva Cassidy.

Last year, at the height of my nefarious days of downloading albums, I downloaded Paul’s Boutique. I don’t know if the bass wasn’t turned up or my being in a separate room was an important factor, but I recall being distinctly underwhelmed.

Yesterday, on a strange whim, I bought Paul’s Boutique and realised what a dreadful mistake I’d originally made.

Damn, album is great. The sort of fun that you wish you were listening to right now.
